Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange best known under his alias Doctor Strange is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics created by artist Steve Ditko. The character first appeared in Strange tales number 1, 10 July 1963.
A former neurosurgeon Doctor Strange serves as the sorcerer supreme the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Debuting in the Silver Age of comics the character has been featured in various media including video games, an animated television show and film in 2016.
Doctor Doctor was ranked 33rd and gain list of the top 50 Avengers. A Marvel Studios live-action film adaptation starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the eponymous role is released in 2016, which received positive review and huge box office success.
Doctor Strange is a practicing magician who draws his powers from mystical entities such as Agamotto. Doctor Strange also wields mystical artefacts including the cloak of levitation which enables him to fly the eye of Agamotto whose light is used to negate evil magic.

Doctor Strange has been noted calling upon many sorcerous phrases invoking certain entities, usually the above-mentioned Principalities. One example: “Seven rings hath Raggador, from indigo to deepest black, Yet Oshtur grant me something more: The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak!”
Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role in the third Thor movie: Thor Ragnarok. In the film, Thor and Loki seek Strange’s help in locating the missing Odin. He will also appear in Avengers Infinity War.
