Both Hantengu and Gyokko make an appearance.
Things, however, take a dark turn with the appearance of the Upper Moon demons Gyokko and Hantengu. By crushing an innocent swordsmith to death inside his vase, Gyokko has already announced himself as an imminent threat to the fans.
Hantengu, on the other hand, went for bluntness. Hantengu steadily made his way up to join Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, and Tanjiro in their conversation. With his lightning-fast reactions, Muichiro attempted to behead him with his Fourth Form Mist Breathing. Tanjiro struck back using Nezuko’s demon form, but Hantengu managed to flee. Muichiro snatched the opportunity and severed his head, but to everyone’s shock, he survived. Instead, he made two new clones out of his head and body, thereby doubling his population.
In the third episode of The Demon Slayer Season 3, Tanjiro and Kotetsu are completely at a loss as to what they should do with such a legendary weapon. Tanjiro declines Kotetsu’s offer because he thinks the sword is beyond his skill level, but Kotetsu is adamant. However, as Tanjiro took the sword out of its scabbard, he noticed that it was completely rusted over.
After Haganezuka enters, he orders Tanjiro to give him the sword. He assures the protagonist that he will repair the blade and forge him a sword that can’t be broken. On the other hand, he provides Tanjiro with a makeshift blade to use for the next three days and nights, the time it takes to polish any sword in Season 3 of Demon Slayer.
The demon slayers are in a state of upheaval.
One of the clones blew Muichiro far into the jungle, while the other nearly shocked Tanjiro to death with their electric shocks. Genya, however, came to the rescue, and fans got a first look at how he battles with his rifle for the first time. He fires his gun from a safe distance and decapitates the two demons. On the other hand, they also reproduce, as there are now four demons.
One of them takes off with Tanjiro just as the supersonic wave that it’s producing ruptures both of his eardrums. While at the same time, one of the other four stabs Genya in the stomach. In the last moments of this episode of Demon Slayer Season 3, Muichiro is seen rescuing Kotetsu from a demon in the woods while simultaneously attempting to make a hasty exit from the woodland and enter the hamlet.
